Here is a tap house logo design concept for Brewer’s Republic in Colorado Springs. Brewer’s Republic is very selective in the quality of beer they provide to their customers. Being so, I wanted to go after a classier style design. Here’s what I came up with.
We’ve been working with an investing company out of Plano, Texas. They’re restructuring their business and need to promote their bold new ideas. So we’re designing a new investing website for them, here is our first concept. I’m sure there will be plenty of changes to come as we dive a bit deeper into this project. It’s nice to have a first draft though, this gives us a frame of reference as well as a sense of direction.
I always have my clients send me a Word doc with a complete breakdown of the site, including the content for each page. Even then it can be tricky some times to make sense of what the client is actually wanting. So putting together a template in Adobe Illustrator gives us and the client a better idea of what the site is going to look and feel like. We can hammer out all the tweeks rather quickly prior to actually building the site in WordPress. This saves us time and usually a headache or two.
Here is a logo painting for a crossfit company in Colorado Springs. I did not design the logo. The painting was done back in early January, but I finally got around to taking some photos of the work since I was driving past their gym yesterday. Boy were those circles a real pain the butt to paint. Turned out pretty good though. Done with interior paint from Ace Hardware.
Here is a fitness business card design for U.vs.U out of Colorado Springs.
Here’s our first concept for a fitness logo design in Colorado Springs. The idea of the company name is simple. When going to the gym, you’re always competing against yourself, never the guy next to you. How far can you push yourself? How hard can you work today? The client had originally purchased a logo online for about $20. After realizing you get what you pay for, he contacted us to help him put together a new concept. Here’s what we came up with.
A new business to Colorado Springs contacted me about designing a plant logo for Plant and Polyp Aquariums LLC. The owner originally wanted to incorporate the rocky mountains. However, being that they’re quite over used here in Colorado, I recommended going with a simpler and more direct approach. Plus I find that using only one or two elements typically makes for a stronger design. So here’s what I came up with for their plant logo. The owner did go with a different color palette than listed below. We added a bit of color to the coral polyp, but I do like this monochromatic feel a bit more.
Making some Hi-five to breakfast signs! 10″x5″ max metal with black vinyl and rounded corners. This is all scrap metal from a local sign shop. Just had to pay for the vinyl. About $1.65 per sign.
There is no goal for this project nor is there an end date. This is and always will be a continuing effort to learn and to grow.

Here is a neuro / brain logo concept for Neuro Peak Performance out of Colorado Springs. The client wanted to incorporate Pikes Peak mountain along with an EKG. Here’s what I came up with.
Just finished working on a logo concept for Black Forest Animal Care in Black Forest, CO. The client originally wanted to incorporate the Colorado flag into the design, but it’s very much over used. I wanted it to be a Colorado logo without actually saying Colorado. I like how the paw print sort of doubles as a mountain/moon setting. Here’s the first concept I came up with.
Here’s another design concept for the 2018 CCM Showcase hockey logo.
