There’s something to be said about a simple life. I find it so hard to bring order to my life. Everyday things seem to get more and more out of control. How do I stop this preposterous nonsense from running my silly excuse for existence straight into the ground? Hell if I know. Any solutions out there? Maybe I should just move into a van. I would spend my summers on the beach surfing and winters riding big mountains. That seems like a very well grounded life to me. What more would I really need? Besides my dog of course. When everything finally collapses for me I think this is what I’ll do. I’m not very good at being organized or paying bills, let alone taxes. Maintaining a stable job with a stable income, that seems to be my biggest challenge. But then again I don’t really like working much anyways. I’d rather sit around and doodle, day dream about nothing of importance and play with my Rottweiler. Maybe I’ll run across a pretty girl that wants to take care of me, or wants to live with me in my van. Either way, a good life so I’ve been told. So hi-five to the simple life.
If you’re interested in learning more about how to get back to the essence of your roots. If you’re looking for a way to bring your life back to its’ soul purpose. If you’ve been searching for yourself, your place in the world. Then I recommend you take a look at the Turtle Island Preserve located in North Carolina. They’ll help you find a simpler way of life.
We live, teach, breathe and believe in nature’s governing truths. We interact with the beautiful clarifying teachings of nature as we interpret it’s story. We are more about doing it than talking about it. We invite you to visit us and experience all that is Turtle Island!
The programs at Turtle Island Preserve are powerful and effective. We dig deep reaching profound connections within us, touching our ancestral roots. “SIMPLY REAL”, we touch the sources of life directly, unshielded from nature’s truths. Intimate and personal, we experience relationship building with the foundational essence of our existence.
Visiting educators, campers, and family members repeatedly and independently have exclaimed excitedly while participating in our programs, “You guys really do it!”
Another daily art project from yours truly, Chris Scott – Artist, designer, creator, entrepreneur.
Looks like Karen Barranco of Special Modern Design in Los Angeles, CA. has won the Greenway 2020 logo contest. A very clean design that clearly represents the project. Well done Karen. I can’t wait for this project to come underway, very exciting. Looks like the Colorado way of life is rubbing off on them. Hotdog!
Here is the winning design.
“You are here to allow the divine purpose of the universe to unfold”. That’s how important you are – Eckhart Tolle
To me this quote explains life down to it’s core roots. The life we live is full of choices; some good, some bad but each it’s own. No matter what choices we make, we never quite deviate to far off the spiral. There is a rhythm at which every living entity vibrates in. Not to say that our lives are predestined but I personally can’t help but feel like some unknown force keeps me grounded. It makes sure I don’t wander too far off the path. Perhaps there is purpose for my life beyond my daily activities.
This video demonstrates a great use of color theory and flow. It’s very interesting to see a water color painting come to life. The fine details near the end really bring the piece together. Love it.
