Here is a residential painting company logo design for Colorado Springs based company Veritas Painting. After our first meeting with the owner of Veritas Painting co., it was very apparent that our mission and goals with each of our business models were in line with one another. In Latin, Veritas means truth, and in a good business model we should always be seeking truth. Being true to ourselves, our business, and the customers we serve. Within that comes honesty, integrity and trust. The owner wasn’t just seeking to start a business with the intention of self-serving, he wanted to take care of his customers the way we used to.
When I started thinking about the name and the mission behind the business, I thought about an older time when a man’s word was bond and a handshake was a binding contract. It reminded me of a family owned hardware store somewhere in the mid west back in the 1950s. I imagine old men in denim overalls scuffling about looking for the right tool for the job. Old work trucks with the company logo hand painted on the side.
And so, I wanted this logo to reflect an older time. Something strong and simple, but also had a bit of hands-on feel to it. Veritas uses a customized script that seems to say just that. The logo uses a primary layout but also comes as a badge style layout or just the icon by itself. We also incorporated the tagline “Honesty, Integrity & Trust” into a badge that we can use on various applications. The color palette uses a Cobalt Blue, Almond Haze, and Harvest Gold.
Overall it’s a great logo that reflects the customers vision for his business. So glad we were able to help build a strong foundation for this client. Thanks for putting your trust in us Mike! We’re looking forward to the next project.
