Here is a smoke shop logo design for Surreal Smoke out of Tucson, AZ. This was an acquired smokers shop business with new owners and a new name. Their goal was to breathe some life into what sounds like an existing but poorly managed business by revamping the visual branding and offer some cool new perks for their customers.
When we first spoke with the new owners, we really didn’t get much input in terms of ideas or direction for smokers logo design. In fact, most of the examples we sent over to help us find direction were rejected by the client. So, rather than continue to keep sending over new examples, we took the information we had (we knew what they didn’t want) and designed a logo that we felt complimented their vision for the brand. Sometimes it can be a bit scary designing a logo with absolutely nothing to go off of. But with over 13 years of design experience, I knew that if I was happy with a logo design the client would be happy too. And sure enough, the clients loved it. Nailed it the first go!
Overall the logo is simple, bold, and appropriate for the smokers industry. You can use the logo in a vertical or horizontal layout and the icon can be used by itself or in conjunction with the wordmark. And it’s gonna make for some super cool signage.
